Hi took out car today to a new garage that has recently opened in Aldinga to have a service. We had previously taken the car to a very popular garage chain. Our cars are still under warranty so needed genuine parts at all services. We were under the impression that this had been done previously – we had been assured this had happened. We were told today that this wasn’t the case and the oil filter that had been used was not manufactured by Kia, this would have voided our warranty had we had a problem. Never thought I would be posting a recommendation for a mechanic – cause I’ve never came across a decent one since I’ve been here!!! My car engine ‘blew up’ last week on a 4 day holiday in Carakalinga and the RAA recommended a garage within the covered distance: M D Auto Care, Lacey Drive, Aldinga. Car was taken there by tow and they called us the next morning. We received the best service from a chap called Mick there. He kept us up to date with what was going on and explained everything in basic terms even recommending another place to go to have some specialist work done. Having the car taken to that garage made the best of an otherwise dreadful situation. Huge thumbs up – definitely be using that garage again!
Just thought I’d mention Mick & Darren at M D Auto Care Aldinga. I turned up there late in the day with the front disc pads grinding metal to metal on the wife’s car. They fixed it straight away. Apparently Aussie Darren does all the work for the brits but Mick gets all the credit as he’s an expat. I don’t know about that, but they did a did a great job if anybody needs there car sorted.
Hi All, M D Auto Care fixed my Ute and it came in under the cost they originally quoted. Even gave me a courtesy car. Our Commodore needs servicing so will be contacting them soon. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I took the world’s mankiest Ute in to Mick’s. His work was spot on, cheaper than he quoted and the courtesy car meant I could still get to work. Thoroughly recommended, say no more….

Hi, another one that uses M D Auto Care! Was recommended from this forum when the water pump went on my ’96 Jeep, they even picked it up for me, will be using them again for all future servicing and repairs.
We use M D Auto Care for both our cars, they are certified for logbook servicing etc. – they definitely go the extra mile for you there.
